1. Full Day Excursion to the Great Wall in Badaling and Ming Tomb with a Local Guide

Enjoy a full day tour to visit the famous Great Wall - Badaling and Ming Changling Tomb.
You will be picked up from your hotel and will drive to the Ming Tombs (50 miles away from downtown).The thirteen Ming Tombs are the best-preserved Chinese imperial tombs with 500 years history. You will visit Changling, the head and the largest of Ming Tombs, where Emperor Yongle (the first emperor in Beijing) and his Empress Xu were buried. The sightseeing on the Ming Tombs takes about 1 hour. The visit to Ming Tombs finishes at about 10:45hrs. Before having lunch (11:30 am), you will have 45 minutes for a short visit to a Jade Carving Factory. The jade carving is a famous special Chinese product, a blend of excellent carving and Chinese traditional cultures. You will then have a traditional Chinese lunch. After lunch, you will visit Great Wall - Badaling. The hike on Great Wall takes 2 hours. Badaling section is the most famous and best-preserved wall. Its highest point at Badaling is some 800 meters above sea level. A pulley car is available (but must be paid for on the spot). After that, you will have a chance to enjoy the Chinese traditional Silk arts. After the tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

Pick up time will be within 30 minutes of the time shown on your voucher, however our supplier will contact you at your hotel, the day before your tour, to confirm your actual pick up time. There will be multiple hotel pickups/drop-offs for other passengers onboard before arriving at your destination. Traffic and weather conditions may affect the schedule. Comfortable walking shoes are recommended.

2. Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven and Summer

During this full day tour, you will first visit the Temple of Heaven, followed by a visit to Tian'anmen Square and the Forbidden City. Here you will be able to see the great traditional palace architecture and enjoy the treasures kept in the palace. After lunch, you will visit the Summer Palace, one of China's largest and best-preserved imperial gardens. The construction of the Palace began in 1750 and is a masterpiece of Chinese landscape garden design. The northern part of the Summer Palace is Longevity Hill, which stands at 60m tall. Its southern part is a wide expanse of water called Kunming Lake. The whole garden covers 290 hectares, with the lake taking up four-fifths of its total area.
